YOUR NEW ROLE

As the new PIC you will be responsible for the development and
management of the service and related community-based services. You
will report to your Regional Manager?and will be the and will be
committed to achieving the highest standards of excellence and the
delivery of continuous improvement in standards, safety, quality and
service delivery in line with the organisational and regional team
objectives as well as HIQA standards. This is a pivotal role within
the organisation and is a full-time, permanent position.?You must
demonstrate the capacity to lead and develop services, effectively
manage a team and undertake the responsibility of risk management,
safety and compliance. You will be the nominated Person in Charge
(PIC) and as such you will take on a broad range of managerial duties
including, managing, and creating staff rosters, and generating all
other reports as required.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

In order to succeed in your new role, you will have recent and
relevant management experience, creating rosters and managing staff.
You will have a Level 8 or Level 9 degree in Social Care or a related
field, and desirably a certificate in Management. In addition to this,
you will have demonstrated skills in leading a team, and excellent
time management skills.

* A third level qualification or relevant professional qualification.
* A minimum of 3 years management experience within the disability,
broad personal social services or healthcare sector.
* Strategic leadership and people management skills and experience.
* Knowledge of current policy and developments in the disability
sector.
* Knowledge of the HIQA Inspection process and completion and
monitoring of Action Plans to acceptance by HIQA.
* Knowledge and awareness of the National Standards for Residential
Services for Children and Adults with Disabilities, Trust in Care and
Adult Safeguarding.
* Knowledge and understanding of the Assisted Decision-Making
(Capacity) Bill **Apply on the website**.
* Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), able to
effectively communicate at all levels and strong report writing
skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build
relationships internally and externally. Strong computer skills.
* In possession of the necessary documentation to work and live in
the Republic of Ireland and able to speak & write English fluently.
* A clean driving licence and willing to travel for work using own
vehicle.

Desirable Experience and Knowledge

* Strategic planning and service development experience.
* Experience of the HIQA Inspection process and completion and
monitoring of Action Plans to acceptance by HIQA.
* Experience of applying the National Standards for Residential
Services for Children and Adults with Disabilities, Trust in Care and
Adult Safeguarding.
* Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Assisted Decision
